The story of this place

Lincoln's Rock protrudes from the cliff edge above the Jamison Valley near Wentworth Falls, offering a freestanding rock platform experience similar to Echo Point but with fewer crowds and a wider field of view. The platform faces north-east, catching both sunrise and morning light across the valley's blue-hazed layers of eucalypt forest. The rock shelf itself — approximately 4 metres by 2 metres — provides a foreground element when photographed from behind, with the valley disappearing into infinity. Seasonal wildflowers on the heathland approach track add colour from August to November. The 10-minute walk from Tableland Road car park makes this one of the most accessible dramatic viewpoints in the mountains.
