The story of this place
The Glenmore Hotel has been serving drinkers since 1921, but here's the thing: it wasn't always in this spot. The entire hotel was physically relocated from the opposite side of Cumberland Street in the 1920s, all for a better vantage point. Today, that rooftop offers 180-degree views of Sydney Harbour, Opera House, and Harbour Bridge—making the back-breaking move entirely worth it. Imagine picking up an entire pub and moving it across the street, just for the sunset.
