The story of this place

Wentworth Falls is one of the most complex waterfall photography locations in the Blue Mountains, offering dramatically different compositions from three distinct levels. The top lookout above the main fall (free access) shows the plunge into the blue-hazed valley below. The Undercliff Track at mid-height traverses the cliff face behind the secondary falls, providing a unique backlit perspective shooting through the water curtain. The Valley of the Waters circuit (3 hours, requiring a National Parks pass) descends to several additional cascades in temperate rainforest. The main falls flow year-round but are most dramatic after heavy rain.
